I really enjoyed this book on the life of Robert Louis Shepard, PhD because of the inspirational messages given. Regardless of age or race, Fulfilling My Destiny, Step by Step is a motivational guide to help any person achieve his/her goals. What I really enjoyed about this autobiography were the hopeful messages given thru exciting and entertaining storytelling. Dr. Shepard was able to overcome many obstacles in his life because of his devout faith--a message that everyone can use. Each relationship taught a different lesson, whether good or bad, and he was able to learn from it. This is exactly how life works.It is my hope that Dr. Shepard continues to encourage and teach through his writing. Congratulations on an excellent first book!

As the narrator of Dr. Shepard’s audiobook, I consider it a special privilege to be the voice for the story of his amazing journey. As you read Dr. Shepard’s book or listen to his audiobook, I’m sure you will feel the emotional connection I felt during the narration. In my case, this emotional connection drew me to visit the home of his grandmother that still stands in Garner N.C. where his life story began.
The story of Dr. Shepard’s life, including the moments that shaped him, is told in such an engaging and relatable style that is so relevant to audiences of varying age, social and economic groups. For some, like myself, this story will provide reminders of the sacrifices of others that live on through us today. For others, Dr. Shepard’s experience, knowledge, and good judgment will provide a blueprint to follow to achieve a more fulfilled life. For all, this book will inspire, encourage and renew hope that a life well lived is a gift to so many. Thank you, Dr. Shepard.

Great book, very insightful!
This book should be read by any student that needs a little push to achieve success in this fast pace world despite their up bringing. The author stayed on task despite all the stumbling blocks that was put on is path to success. I had to share it with my daughter, a 3 year college student.
This book is written so that children from middle school to college level will relate to the values and experiences of the author. It's a great book to motivate readers as they identify their own goals and steps toward fulfilling their destiny. I would love to see it written for elementary age students . You can never start too early when thinking about your goals and aspirations.
It is rare to state that I personally, know the author. And, in contact with him almost weekly. Bob Shepard, has been a help and inspiration as we have served as Deacons together and he has served as my personal Deacon. His book, illustrate how God gives and fulfill dreams. Those dreams are always to the glory of God. This book is not just another "cookie-cutter" for success, but a glimpse into how - through faith ones life can truly be successful.
This book delves into the life of Dr. Shepard and how he grew up in a time of much chaos yet he was able to keep his dreams of one day accomplishing his destiny of what God ordained for him. I especially loved this book when he talks about his college years and what it took for him to succeed against the odds of being drafted into Vietnam and becoming a breakthrough award winning Scientist who made his mark not only in the nation, but all around the world. I recommend this book to anybody who is looking for a positive role model and an inspiration into finding out what God ordained for them to do in life!
